Dress Rehearsals

Important Information on Dress Rehearsals

In the week leading up to the opening there will be a series of extra rehearsals you will need to attend.

Friday 2nd Dec - Sitzprobe (fancy word for 'sing along' with the band....)
5:00 - 7:30) but stay straight after school for costuming.

Saturday 3rd Dec and Sunday 4th Dec - All day rehearsals
10am - 3pm

Tuesday 6th Dec and Wednesday 7th Dec - All Day rehearsals (you will not be going to classes but need to catch up on any work)PLUS EVENING 6:30 - 8:30

Rehearsal Schedule 22nd - 24th October

Tuesday 22nd October  4-6pm
Meet in the auditorium
We will need EVERYONE in the cast!

We will share some work that various people have done so far and also learn ‘We are the Champions’.  Revise your vocal harmonies using the resources on the P:drive (https://vle.thurstoncollege.suffolk.sch.ukbefore this rehearsal please.

Wednesday 23th October  4- 5.30pm
It is parent’s evening but if Robbie and Emily are able to make it, I would like to go through your duets (hammer to fall, under pressure and who wants to live forever) with you.
Please let Mrs Hollocks know asap if you can make it.


Thursday 24th October  1.30pm

Teen Queens meet in music area to begin learning harmonies for ‘Somebody to Love’.

·       Dancers – (Ga gas and Yuppies) – Working with Mrs Hajiloizou

·       Vocals  - for No one But You, Crazy little thing called love and Headlong – Working with Mrs Hollocks
The following people are needed to learn parts for on and off stage singing:
Galileo, Scaramouche, both KQs, Khashoggis, Brits and Meats.
All Bohemians
Also Charley Jeffries and Katy Rochford (who will be in vocal booths for these numbers) 

(Please note; Paige Smith, Ben Goffin and Alice Sayer also in VB but needed for dance today)


Wednesday 16th October  4- 5.30pm
Meet in the auditorium
People needed:
·       Dancers – (Ga gas and Yuppies) – Working with Mrs Hajiloizou

·       Everyone in the Heartbreak Hotel scene – (Bohemians, Galileo, Scaramouche, Brit and Meat)  - working with Mrs Scurrell

·       Vocals  - Killer Queen and Khashoggi  - Working with Mrs Hollocks on solo and duo numbers.


To speed up the rehearsal process, please be familiar with the songs in advance of group practices.

Changes to Rehearsal Schedule for this week

For singing, the following people are needed to learn parts for on and off stage singing 4-6pm:
Galileo, Scaramouche, both KQs, Khashoggis, Brits and Meats.
Charley Jeffries, Katy Rochford, Abi Walker, Tegan Butler, Marcus Deacon, Ed Marriott (who will be in vocal booths for these numbers)

The rest of the Teachers, Lucy Bertram (in VB) + Ensemble will be needed only for Radio Ga Ga so you should arrange to be picked up at 5pm.


It is the bit in bold that I think is new!

Both Brits and Meats to go over lead vocals to ‘I want it all’.
